HOW TO TIE AND DYE YOUR OLD WHITE T-SHIRT
The shirts that work best for tie and dye are 100% cotton.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
➡️DYE
➡️RUBBER BANDS
➡️RUBBER GLOVES
➡️SODA ASH
➡️ COMMON SALT
➡️ZIP BAGS
➡️A TUB FOR SOAKING THE SHIRTS
➡️PAPER TOWELS FOR HOLDING YOUR SHIRT WHILE IT IS BEING DYED
➡️OLD RAGS TO MOP UP THE SPILLS

PROCESS
☸Wear your rubber gloves. Soak the dye in a solution of WARM water and Soda Ash for 10 minutes
☸Add a couple of tablespoons of common salt to the mix. Mix thoroughly before adding the shirt.
☸After soaking, wring the shirt out thoroughly.
☸After you have wrung out the shirt, place it on a flat surface and start turning clockwise until you have a nice flat pie shape.
☸Put on the rubber bands , then turn the shirt over and put on some more. You are now ready to dye.
☸Cover your working surface with plastic towels and begin to put your dyes. After you have completed putting the dye on the shirt, pop it into a zip Bag and seal it up for AT LEAST 24 HOURS!
☸Take the shirt out of the bag and unwrap the bands first, then run the shirt under a cold water.
☸You may now Wash your shirts two or three times on their own. Your dyed shirt is ready!!!!
