How to spot a fake Titus fish:
If you have ever made fish stew and you ended up with an almost tasteless and bone filled fish?
And if Even after the market woman convinces you that she only sells original Titus but you go back home with a FAKE
Well this is how to identify original so you don’t get deceived anymore.
1:) the real Titus is shinny at the sides as unlike the Fake (Kampala) that one has dots at the side.
I call it fake cos anything that doesn’t looks original is fake, don’t get it twisted.
2:) real titus has smaller head even too small for the bodysize compared to Kampala.
It always have smaller eyes than Kampala.
I usually call kampala big for nothing, cause the taste is irritating
So next time you see a gigantic or big Titus fish just know that it is fake.
4: the lines or stripes of real are always dark and bold and shiny whereas Kampala isn’t, and is rather Filled with spots.
5: once you cut the two open, the inside of real has a one bone. Kampala has several or too many bones and you have to remove them one after the other before you can eat
6: real one has a whitish inner,
Whereas Kampala has a darkish inner.
7:) real titus is more oily than
Kampala Titus.
titus tastes very sweet and it gives your food a nice taste.
